Springtime 2013
On March 15th, my son and I traveled to Cloudland Canyon State Park in North Georgia. This is the first time either one of us has been to this park. We were really glad we made the trip on a beautiful spring day in GA. This park has some of the most beautiful waterfalls I have seen. The water was flowing at a very high rate due to the recent rains we have had over the past two months. I tried to capture here some of the beautiful shading and lighting that was found that day. We only had time for the Waterfall trail of 2 miles, but it entailed climbing 1200 steps as part of the journey! The shots close to the end of this gallery are taken at Jones Bridge Park in Peachtree Corners. The squirrel was rummaging through a trash can and found french fries to snack on. The ducks were absolutely beatiful and looked liked they were well fed over the winter...mostly by park goers I would think.
