Dunwoody Preservation Trust
In this gallery are shots of three of the properties that are of interest to the Dunwoody Preservation Trust. The last shots are from the "New Hope Cemetery" which has just been recently damaged by our spring tornado storms. I was really struck with the force of nature here and of the strength of the 'stones' that withstood these very damaging forces. The Copland gravestone was especially meaningful to me when I focused on the 'epitaph' that was written at the bottom of the stone. Look at DPT-New-Hope-8261 (52 of 55) to see what I am referring to. While there, a man and his two very large dogs came up to me to tell me how much he enjoyed being with his dogs everyday in this place. The dogs appeared to be like 'watch dogs' over the ruins and the inhabitants of this cemetery. These are not the most beautiful shots I have taken of DPT properties, but perhaps the most poignant to represent why this trust should be able to do what it does.
